OpenAI CEO Sam Altman stated in a podcast that his belief in Universal Basic Income (UBI) has weakened compared to the past, and he is more inclined to distribute the benefits brought by AI through methods such as "collective ownership."

Meanwhile, the cryptocurrency project World (formerly Worldcoin) that he promotes has a current token price of about $0.25, down over 98% from its historical high of $11.82 on March 2024. Data shows that the World Foundation previously sold approximately 239 million WLD tokens, cashing out about $65 million.
